Beautiful fetishistic body-art show performed with artist Obadiah Arkham. These performances are fairly intense and visceral, and not recommended for burlesque clubs. Inspired by a passage on the cannibalistic nature of love from Sartre's Being and Nothingness, Appropriation explores the dialectic of love as an attempt to control one's partner and force them to see you as an idealised version of yourself. Utilises flesh-hooks, maskwork, mouth-sewing and needles - bloody, compelling, and strangely touching.
